“Old Browser” warning in Web Search Window when I click on hints
Last Updated 6 days ago

Family Historian 6 uses Internet Explorer technology in the Web Search Window (the window in which Internet data matches are displayed, by default, when you click on hints in the Focus Window). This technology is now out-dated, and has been replaced with up-to-the-minute technology in version 7. Version 6 users who are not ready to upgrade to version 7, are recommended to use an external web browser instead of using the Web Search window. To do this, open the Preferences Window (accessible from the Tools menu), select the “Internet Data Matches” tab, and choose “External Web Browser” as the option for “Location to Display Matches”.
